It's easy to assume a business this size must have a cash flow forecast somewhere. Often it doesn't, or there's a version that was built once, went stale within a month, and never got updated again. Without one, every spending decision is made on gut feel, and the first sign of a problem is the bank balance itself.

WHAT THIS MEANS

A forecast that actually exists is the starting point most finance functions skip: not a better forecast, a first one that's built, trusted, and kept current.

SITUATION

The Situation

1

What usually happens

Cash gets managed by watching the bank balance, which only tells you there's a problem after it's already arrived.
2

How Pillr helps

A working cash flow forecast, built from the numbers you actually have, kept current so decisions get made with real visibility instead of hindsight.

How we get you ready

1

A cash flow forecast that's actually used

Built once, then kept current, not a one-off exercise.

2

Early warning, not hindsight

See a cash problem weeks before it becomes one.

Decisions made with visibility

Hire, spend, or hold, with the numbers to back the call.

Questions we get asked

How long does it take to build a working cash flow forecast?

A first working version is typically ready within two to three weeks. It won't be perfect on day one, but it'll be accurate enough to plan against, and it gets sharper each time it's updated.

What if our numbers aren't clean enough to forecast from?

That's normal, and it's part of the work. Most businesses have the underlying data (sales, costs, timing). It's just not organised in a way that produces a forecast yet. That's the gap we close.

Who keeps the forecast updated after it's built?

That's agreed upfront: either your own team, trained to keep it current, or Pillr on an ongoing basis. Either way, the goal is a forecast that's still being used in six months, not one that goes stale after the first.

OUR APPROACH

Getting started is simple

Get in touch and we'll set up a short call to talk through where things stand. If a Sprint is the right next step, we'll scope it there and then. If it's Build, Scale, or Deal, we'll tell you that too, and why.
